About our Boarding Business for Dogs and Cats
| The Proprietors and Staff welcome you to the Baskervilles Kennels and Cattery in Margaretting. Our intentions are to provide a service, which is caring, friendly and efficient.
We hope that you will be satisfied with the accommodation provided and will be happy to leave your animals with us. We appreciate that a Kennels and Cattery can never provide the comforts of home, but we endeavour to provide an enjoyable experience by caring animal loving people. |

| UNDERSTANDING THE KENNEL/CATTERY ENVIRONMENT | ||
| Boarding is a shared responsibility. The owner must be responsible in bringing their pet to the kennels fully immunised. Your pet should be free of any internal and external parasite and not have been exposed to any contagious diseases. You must make the Kennels/Cattery aware of any medical problems past or present including weight problems etc. Boarding is the best alternative BUT separation from owner, strange surroundings and unfamiliar people can cause temporary weight loss/gain and cause temporary changes in behaviour. However good a Kennel/Cattery is, stress can be a major problem with some pets. Most pets love the holiday break with their new friends! Start boarding your animals at a young age and be loyal to the kennel - this will nearly always ensure a stress free animal. Animals don't like change in their routines, and certainly not in their more senior years! Any change in routine, particularly for an elderly animal may be very traumatic. |

| ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES | ||
| Our customers may bring or collect their pets during our business hours only. However we would advise that animals be dropped off before dark so that the animals can be familiarised to staff and surroundings. It allows our staff to spend time with the 'new arrivals' and settle them in, so that they can enjoy their holiday. |

| We are delighted to offer this service during business hours, but regret that there is a charge associated. |

| INSURANCE | ||
| This is compulsory. A charge of 35p per day per animal. The policy we operate is the Pet Plan 5 Star Cover. Animals will not be covered for an existing or recurring complaint, or preventative medicine or vaccinations. Should an animal become sick after a stay at the kennels we would ask you to telephone, informing us of any condition. |
