Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully.

  • Whilst every care is given to your pet while they board at Baskervilles, they are left entirely at the owner’s risk.

 

  • Dogs and cats must have had an annual booster injection administered within the last 12 months and had their primary vaccination at least 2 weeks before their check in date. Dogs will also have had a kennel cough injection administered within the last 12 months and at least three days before their check in date. Relevant certificates must be produced when checking in at every stay. All members of staff have the right to refuse entry of your animal if these conditions are not followed.

 

  • Boarding rates are per calendar day, this means you will be charged for the day of arrival up to and including the day of departure. These charges allow you to drop off and pick up your pet at any time during our opening hours.

 

  • All boarding bills must be settled in full before your pet(s) is taken home.

 

  • If you decide to collect your pet(s) before the agreed date made when booking, you are still liable to paying all fees up to the date agreed, unless you have given us 7 days’ notice prior to their check out date. We may make an exception in extreme circumstances. We will make every effort to be both fair and accommodating.

 

  • If you require your pets boarding stay to be extended while they are here, please let us know by either email or phone. Most of the time extending the stay will not be a problem, however please understand that during busy periods we may not be able to accommodate your pet longer than the original booking.

 

  • A 50% deposit of the total boarding bill must be made within 7 days of receiving your acknowledgement email/letter before the booking is confirmed. A confirmation of the booking and deposit will be issued by email or post. If a booking is altered or cancelled, deposits will be returned or transferred to another booking only if changes are made at least 21 days before the intended arrival date. We may make an exception in extreme circumstances.

 

  • During the months of July and August a minimum peak season rate of 5 boarding days for both cats and dogs will apply.

 

  • We are closed for collection and drop offs on all bank holidays including Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day. A double charge is also applied to all these days.

 

  • If no collection of your pet has been made within 14 days of the agreed departure date and we are not able to reach you by phone, email or post, we have the right to remove your pet from our premises.

 

  • All extra services (such as collection/drop off or grooming) are priced separately and are added to the final bill. This must be settled along with the boarding charge at the end of the animals stay.

 

  • All information given to us upon check in must be correct and confirmed by signature on your pet’s form.

 

  • We must be provided with emergency contact details whilst your pet is staying with us. We will contact them in circumstances where medical attention is required. However, please be aware your pet is always are main concern so contact may not always be possible beforehand.

 

  • In the event of injury or illness to your pet, we will contact either your registered veterinary practice or our local vets – Ingatestone vets. All costs must be paid along with your boarding bill at the end of your pets stay. We will then refund you the amount if covered by our Pet Plan Insurance cover. Pre-existing complaints are not covered by our insurance.

 

  • Both dogs and cats must be up to date on all flea and worm treatment, and dates of these treatments must be given to us upon check in. If there is evidence of external parasites, we have the right to treat your pet after consultation and authorisation from a vet.

 

  • You are more than welcome to bring in personal belongings for your pet, e.g. bedding/toys. However, all belongings are left at the owner's risk and we do not have any responsibility for the damage or loss of any of these belonging.

 

  • We do provide a wide range of food here at Baskervilles, however own food is always accepted and encouraged if your dog/cat has any specific dietary requirements. There is no discount for providing your own food.

 

  • All staff are trained to administer medication to your pet when required. Any medicine must be provided by the owner upon check in and it is the owner’s responsibility to ensure there is enough medication to cover the length of the stay. All medication must come in original packaging. All medication administered is signed off by the administering member of staff. These records are available on request. No extra charge is applied for administering medication.

 

  • Baskervilles has the right to amend these conditions at any time. Changes to these terms and conditions will be posted on this website, you are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
